I came across a contract job the other day that would have me photographing a series of apartments. Interested in the position, I applied, and quickly received a response asking for “test shots.” They wanted to see a sample of my ability to photograph an apartment complex, so I headed to one near me, and went at it. The weather was perfect today, and there wasn’t anybody around to be in my way. I wish every day at the pool looked like this!
In an effort to photograph some mountain railroading with a colorful backdrop, I took a day trip to the southern portion of West Virginia today. One of my favorite photo spots from the trip was in the neighborhood of Coopers, near the town of Bramwell. Perched on top of a hill next to the tracks, you can look out over what’s left of the neighborhood as this massive railroad bridge goes over it.
